GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

This school is small, so locating classes is very easy. The teachers are also very good with helping students when in need. I think that the janitorial staff could do better, especially with COVID, but this school is clean for the most part.

The school is horrible. There is black mold in the basement, there are not enough books for the elementary or HS so many students fail. The administration doesn't do anything to punish bullying or anything related. Overall just bad. No diversity.

Smithton High School is comforting. It's small so the teachers and students are able to form connections and I'm able to easily be involved in a lot of clubs. The teachers at Smithton really care about the student's education and they're passionate about what they teach. They want us to learn the material and pass with a good grade instead of just barely passing. It's nice knowing that I can talk to the administration if I'm having any problems and they'll try to help and support me. I appreciate the hard work Smithton's administration puts into our education.

This school failed me. Most of the good staff left bc this school is a burning dumpster fire and those stink so why stay.

I would say Smithton is an above average school for a 2A school. Like Tyler pointed out, Smithton has a number of extracurricular activities in sports like Men's: Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, Golf, and Track and Women's: Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, and Track. They also have numerous clubs lik...
