Social Circle Christian School, a ministry of the town’s First Baptist Church, has been providing a student-centered education for kids in Walton County for over 25 years. With about 100 students ranging from preschool through high school, the school is accredited by the Georgia Association of Christian Schools and uses Abeka, BJU Press and Deep Roots curricula.
The preschool program combines learning with fun, letting the kids use art, puzzles and games to help reinforce teachings. Elementary students have a traditional academic program that includes language, math, science, history and Bible studies. In the upper school, kids in six through twelfth grades also enjoy a traditional curriculum as Spanish is added to the offerings. A chapel program keeps children in touch with the spiritual aspects of the school’s programming and physical education, music, art and computer classes let students explore other interests.
There are also a variety of after-school clubs for elementary and upper school students including Girls With Swords (GWS), Warriors of Worship (WOW), and private music lessons in piano and guitar. Social Circle Christian School at First Baptist Church lives up to its motto of “Strengthening Character, Cultivating Success.”
