I love the "small town school" feel, but with that there are limited opportunities. These limits includes athletics, extracurricular, and teachers. While this may not be an easy thing to change, I believe that effort can at least be put in to try to change this situation. Other than that, I have enjoyed my time at Somonauk High School and recommend it to anyone planning on attending.

Somonauk High School is full of influential students and staff. It is a very small school so everyone gets to know each other very well.

There are many extracurricular activities at SHS considering we are such a small school. We have Varsity Sports for boys and girls, we have Spanish Club, a Business Club, Student Council, Academic Bowl Team, Art Club, Bleacher Band, Jazz Band and other activities the give students an opportunity to become involved.

We moved here years back because somonauknhigh school had a great rating. Teachers are awful. No follow through from counselor or principal. If I could give less than 1 star rating I would. Awful experience awful teachers and awful ancillary staff. Shame on you for failing our children
