GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I went to South Beloit High School for all four years. I've actually been in the district all my life. I had a really hard time in school, I lost my way for a little bit after my parents got divorced. I wasn't even sure I was going to make it to High School. With the Staff's help, I was able to continue to high school and I worked hard with my academics and sports. I was able to be a part of the Honors program and eventually the AP program for English and Social Studies. I am currently enrolled in college and I just came back from studying in South Korea. I am really thankful for the school district and its wonderful staff for helping me believe in myself.

Honestly, this school isn't very good for anything. The teachers do their job, they teach you what you need to know to pass, but the majority of them don't care about you as a student. If they see someone bullying another student, they won't do anything to stop it unless it gets physical. The academics are okay, as long as you take notes and don't fall behind. All in all, it's not awful at SBHS, but it's not the best either.

There's quite a few things to choose from. Some of the students come up with different extracurricular activities for students to join.
