I've been at south central for 2 years, my experience with the school has been great so far the teachers are nice and supporting and the students are great also.The worst thing about this school is the fights, one fight I witness was a girl running pass me with a taser. A change I would like to see is how pack the halls be when going to class there should be no reason that I'm struggling to get to class.

My overall high school expertise at south central high school had been good for the most part there are some ups and downs but things get better I have ran track the first two years of high school and now I am attending a community college to get a little head start for college but overall high school is good.

South central is a very strict school but it is also fun most of the time. We as students get rewarded for our good behaviors and that's what I enjoy the most because it shows me that they do care about our education and they want to see us achieve our goals. I can 100% say that South Central prepared me for college because they have so many opportunities for us to take higher classes such as AP and our local community classes for free. It gives us an opportunity to make our GPA's higher while so still getting a taste of what college courses will be like. We also have many options to join clubs which I also loved because it made me more open to trying extracurricular activities.

This school is sub-par and really demonstrates lack of regard for student success. Students are passed along without any follow-up from the teachers. It's difficult to get in contact with the teachers to get more information about the assignments and due dates. When students fail, or at risk of fail...

This school runs more like a prison than a place of learning and development. Take your kids out and home school or private school because they won’t be prepared for success.
