The best part about this school is walking through the doors and seeing the different groups of students interacting with each other. What I would like to see change is the laid-back teachers who don't teach students and pass them.

South Kitsap High School is a larger school. There are many students in each class and in each grade. Some students don't get as much attention and are overlooked sometimes. Sports are fun and really enjoyable. But in my experience they are also somewhat disorganized and very separate from each other. I would like to see more collaboration with the athletics to make a more cohesive school. ASB should be allowed to have more freedom. The only things they get to plan are dances and pep assemblies. Overall there were some good experiences and some bad ones. But it was decent.

This school is pretty unique in the fact that some classes that you can take here aren't found anywhere else in the state, like Auto Tech, Athletic Medicine, Video Production, etc. The teachers here are usually pretty nice, and actually care about the work that they do. I will say that the building is pretty old (except for the pool and cooking classrooms) and every time the district tries to get more money to help fix up the school, it get's shut down by the town.

This school is a dropout factory. The district changes standards for graduation every other year making nearly impossible to graduate. Kids are harassed by the schools security guards who are heavy handed cornering kids in bathrooms and doing inappropriate searches even against district policy. My s...

Aside from it being over-crowded, SK offers AP prep courses for anyone willing to accept the challenge as well as CTE courses to prepare for the workforce. We have been very impressed with the band and orchestra programs
