The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I liked the teachers that truly care about the students. I dislike the teachers who do not value their position and the state of the locker, textbooks, and ceiling tiles.

I liked how the teachers are very close with their students and will work one on one until the student understands the concept being taught. At the same time the teachers are tough and always pushing the students to be the best that they can be.

South Lamar School overall is a very good school. They try and work with the students to become ready for the real world. The sports programs at South Lamar are very good. I would recommend the school to anyone that prefers a small town school that will offer more one on one time with students
The reviews on here are very outdated so I’m deciding to write my own. South Lamar is an amazing school and I would recommend it to everyone. However, if you study and are willing to do the work and ASK questions I found that the teachers are willing to help,...
