I like that it's a small, rural school with low numbers of students in each class. The faculty and staff are friendly and personable and the school feels like a safe place for our children to be.

The STEM club is the largest of the extracurriculars besides sports. The funding for robotics is amazing and we have a 3D printer so that students can work with CAD and other 3D design programs like Blender and Rhino. The STEM club also participates in The Gravity Games which is modern soap-box racing at The Dalles where teams have to assemble a car and figure out ways to improve the standard design giving them an edge in the race. The third and final major part of the STEM club is the famous Wind Challenge where students design and build a working wind turbine and compete with other groups to build the most efficient turbine with a given set of materials and limited time. The Wind Challenge also takes place in The Dalles.

Terribly unhappy after 2 of my children went here, looking for other options for my 3rd child - parent involvement is not appreciated. Bullying issues not addressed properly. Teacher ratio is great but teachers don't always care like they should, lackluster attitude. Programs and budget for such are...
