Southwick is an amazing school in many capacities. Where the difficulties lie however is the administration and their lack of caring for their employees and students.

The school is pretty middle of the pack. There are definitely academic advantages to especially with the assortment of honors and AP classes and the paid AP exams. However there are shortcoming in the administration and comforts that are very noticeable.

My experience at this school absolutely sucked, I wasn't accepted well at all. The community is fine but most people aren't very nice to you. In the classroom, it depends but usually it's boring and when a student is upset, usually a teacher doesn't do anything.

Both the town and school district are run poorly by political insiders. When the 3 school district lost 25% of their enrollment that's expected to reach 30% they doubled the classrooms at the H.S. with a $20 million triple addition plus added the less than 1/2 full Granville Village school.
