Going to Speyer Legacy School was one of the best things that has happened to me in my life. The students are all extremely nice and welcoming, and the teachers are supportive and engaging. The academics are top-tier, and the kids here are extremely smart - however, unlike a lot of A+ academic schools, Speyer's environment doesn't feel competitive. Speyer will ultimately prepare your child for High School and beyond. Send your child here if you're looking for a rigorous and friendly school.

We've been thrilled with our time at Speyer. Our kid came having been very disappointed by the experience at Lower Lab, and has really had their love for school and learning reignited at Speyer. The faculty is extraordinary, and the peer group is kind, supportive, and one that elevates being smart and intellectual as "cool". We're now looking at high schools, and sad to be preparing to leave Speyer, but so grateful that our kiddo had the chance to learn and grow at this remarkable school.

Not a school for gifted children at all. Very poorly run. Lack of understanding of differentiation and seems to be geared more toward wealthy parents who want to hear their children are gifted.

I cannot recommend this school. The environment is excessively competitive from an early age and lacks the nurturing support essential for healthy child development. Many students display significant behavioral and other challenges, and teachers often attempt to micromanage the entire class by shift...

We have two children enrolled in the Lower School, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. After coming from a previous NYC public gifted and talented (G&T) program where our child wasn't being sufficiently challenged, we were thrilled to find a place that truly understands the needs of gift...

For all three of my kids, Speyer was a watershed moment in their education. Two of them are now in college and one is in high school, and they all remember that Speyer as a turning point in their academic journeys. As one of them said, "it was in fifth grade that I decided that school was going to b...
