To me, Northwood was a great middle school during my year. It has lots of diversity and staffs were considerate and friendly. Especially the school counselors and office staffs, they were like friends to me and they listen to my burdens and problems I was facing. The only improvement they could make is their academics. I believe the level they were sitting at is too low, they could really raise the bar and give students more challenges and opportunities to achieve better. The courses Northwood offers are relatively diverse. Besides general education, this school also has robotics, woodshop, high school physical education and bands. PE is a requirement, if you do not like running for an extended time, I don't recommend this school. The school's environment was comfortable too. It was very rare to hear bullying and negative news happening in my school. The lunch food they provide was okay on the other hand, it was either pizza or sandwich with salad.

This was a great school for my boys. There were great opportunities in athletics and in academics. Very caring staff.

This is the worst school I’ve ever been too. The kids are absolutely horrible, if you’re just a little bit different from everyone else, you’re a target for bullying. We have been very disappointed with this school. There are problems with bullying and drugs and parent concerns are not addressed. Some of the teachers are great, but there are more teachers here who do not love their subject matter and do not teach effectively or care about their students. Avoid th...
