I attended Spring Valley up until second semester of senior year. The school had a great community and so much school spirit it was hard not to enjoy it, at least sometimes. I will say that the administration is terrible when it comes to reprimanding their students. They refuse to get involved in "drama" and instead of listening they just punish whoever. I still have a lot of good friends here and consider this school my home, but so many things need improvement.

This school only taught its students how to be sneaky. It did not prepare them for anything related to college and cared more about the no phone policy and strict rules than the academics.

As a student of Spring Valley High School, I feel safe and well educated. As a whole there are a great team of teachers and other staff; however, I think the school should be more involved with students when it comes to college readiness.

So far, two years into my education at Spring Valley, I am by no means impressed. Be it the tobacco crisis, or the lack of clear leadership, or even the overall atmosphere, it is not very good at all, as of January 2019.
