The mission of Spring Valley is to provide an excellent education for students who struggle with dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and other learning differences by offering a multi-sensory, whole-child approach in a small class setting. The school's instructional approach utilizes research-based, remedial methods, study strategies and technology, which accommodate students' learning differences. With a student population of 140, the school offers a student-teacher ratio of 8-to-1. Spring Valley School offers an array of electives including visual and graphic arts, drama, writing composition, bowling, robotics, American Sign Language, career and college preparation, Spanish and Italian. After graduation, the majority of students go on to post-secondary institutions. Spring Valley boasts high student test scores as well as high parent and student satisfaction. Spring Valley School is accredited through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and is recognized by the International Dyslexia Association as a member of the Learning Differences Independent School Network.

This will be our first year at SVS. Everyone has been so very welcoming. The school truly feels like a family! Communication has been excellent both with the office staff/director and the teachers. The teachers seem to genuinely love their jobs and the kids.

To sum it all up, SVS is the best thing that has ever happened to us education wise! My daughter has more confidence and her reading skills have greatly improved. I would recommend SVS to any family who has a child with a learning difficulty. It has truly changed our lives!
