SS Joachim & Anne School was founded in 1924 in Queens Village, where it remains today. In a given year, the school serves roughly 500 students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. There are 17 full-time teachers, so the student-to-teacher ratio of roughly 30-to-1 is higher than the national average; however, the school’s dedicated faculty members make sure that each and every student receives the attention they need to be successful.
Although SS Joachim & Anne is a Catholic school, they serve students of other religions as well. One of the school's missions is to instill respect and compassion for people of backgrounds different from their own. The school also prides itself on the heterogeneity, rigor and creativity of its classroom, and it fosters a close relationship with parents via both liturgical and paraliturgical celebrations.

It's the best place to send kids there. Mrs. Frebes loves those kids and she works so hard that they will be someone in this life. School is very safe. Mr. Drew makes sure everyone there is under his umbrella. Teachers work extremely hard to ensure that these students receive the best education possible and become leaders when they leave the classroom.

Unfortunately, I have to say this school has disintegrated over the years. My daughter has attended since she was in PreK and I used to really enjoy it but as another parent reported I always had to supplement her school work way too much. Communication is mostly nonexistent and some of the faculty...
