Located in Downtown Albuquerque, St. Mary’s School is a private parochial facility serving more than 400 students from prekindergarten through eighth grade. Founded in 1893, St. Mary’s is the only Catholic school in the state of New Mexico to have a dual-language program. It operates in conjunction with Boston College’s Two-Way Immersion Network, or TWIN, and is specifically designed for Catholic schools.
St. Mary’s also has a robust athletic program where students from fifth through eighth grade can participate in cross country, track, basketball, volleyball, golf, flag football, and softball. Extracurricular programs include a Lego club in conjunction with the Albuquerque Public Main Library, robotics, aikido, cooking club, cardio drumming, and more. In addition, there are enrichment courses like music, art, and STREAM, which stands for science, technology, religion, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
St. Mary’s is accredited by the Western Catholic Educational Association, which is a private accrediting agency operated by the Archdiocese of California. There’s before- and after-care each day which can be paid for daily or weekly. Tuition at the school is $6,000 per academic year, and financial aid scholarship applications are available on the school’s website, as are admission forms. This is a wonderful Catholic school. My children greatly enjoy attending St. Mary's school. The teachers are kind, knowledgeable, and professional. I highly recommend this school.

Principal Cantrell has taken the school downhill. It is very sad because so many excellent teachers have left or have been fired and replaced with teachers who don't even have teaching degrees! I enrolled my son for the 2014-2015 school year and this has been the worst year that we've ever had. He was only in pre-k however the teacher was totally incompetent. She had a total of 12 kids and a full time assistant and could not manage the class. My son learned more at home with me then he did...

My daughter went to St. Mary's since kindergarten. Now the new principal Carissa Cantrell is rude and has made the school like a buisness.
