Saint Raphael School is a private Catholic school located on Dover Road in Bay Village. Founded in 1948, its goal is to teach students to strive for lifelong academic excellence, live out their faith and leave the world a better place than they found it.
Saint Raphael School enrolls 781 students between kindergarten to eighth grade and has a student-to-teacher ratio of 22-to-1. Its students come from many different communities including Amherst, Avon, Avon Lake, Bay Village, Cleveland, Elyria, Fairview Park and more.
Saint Raphael School offers a standard curriculum of English, language arts, math, reading, science and social studies for all its students, as well as algebra for interested eighth graders.
To enhance and facilitate learning, Saint Raphael School provides Chromebooks and touch screen panels, and each classroom is equipped with amplification systems and wireless fiber optic internet. When it comes to athletics, Saint Raphael offers quite the variety. The school offers sports organized in cooperation with the Diocese of Cleveland Catholic Youth Organization including basketball, football, volleyball, track, cross country and cheerleading.
Saint Raphael School supports working parents with Raiders Club, a before and after school program available to children in kindergarten through sixth grade. It’s open daily and offers homework help and weekly activities like field trips, cooking lessons, service projects and acting lessons.
