Because SCAHS is the only major high school in the district, I get to meet a wide variety of people who come from different backgrounds. We still have many similarities and bond in our classes.

The school has a lot of opportunities for people who want to take more advanced classes, and they do events for mental health to try to support students. The biggest problems are probably vaping in the bathrooms, and the district has had a couple s*icides in the past few years, which should never happen.

Overall, SCAHS is a very good school. Because of the large number of students attending, the number of clubs is diverse and widespread, with something for almost everyone. The same goes for electives. There is a wide range of electives offered, with many academic opportunities. However, the school climate is not as good, with a lot of divisiveness between groups.

State College Area School District is a joke. Teachers show extreme favoritism to the students and constantly deny other kids opportunities to thrive. They have been investigated by the Pa Department of Education for not meeting the needs of gifted children and have been found non compliant several...

I regret moving my kids into this school district. The time change for the start of the day is something that should not have happened. Sometimes these kids have hours of homework and since the middle schools do not give out a lot the ninth graders are unprepared for this. Add in sports and job so t...
