GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My experience at Statesville High school has been at times rewarding but other times challenging. Some of the teachers have been great to work with and are very knowledgeable while some have not been quite so easy. The classes that I have enjoyed the most are the arts such as chorus and theater. I also was able to attend culinary classes in my Junior and Senior year which was a great experience for me. It allowed me to get more experience and certifications in the field that I intend to continue on in College to further my education for my career path.

Overall my experience at Statesville High has been pretty good. I don't have many friends so I pretty much just stay to myself and observe everyone around me. I feel what has made my experience good is that I have had many kind teachers who helped me succeed. The teachers are the best part of Stateville because they make our classes feel like family. I feel very connected to my AP English teacher she is like my second mom because she is always there for me. My math teacher Mr. White helped me find enjoyment in math, and it now became my favorite subject. The worst part about school is all the fights which I consider is also the thing I would like to see change. The fights are distracting and the hurdles of people that form around blocking the halls make it so we can't even get to class on time. After all the fights admin forces us to be stuck on security alert where they don't even let us out to the bathroom and treat all of us like little kids over the actions of a couple of people.

This is my first year here and it's been so amazing. I've always been at west Iredell high school and that will always be home but being at Statesville just made me feel like I felt in. Being around more of my culture and being involved in the different types of activities
