My personal experience at Adlai Stevenson High school was great. i was in a four year engineering program called MADE (Manufacturing, Automation, Design Engineering) every student going to Stevenson had the same opportunity to join. the best part is i felt like they set me up for college very nicely. my senior year of high school we had to complete ten hours of job shadowing for any type of engineering company. I chose General Motors and met a lot of high end workers there. the worst part being unfortunately the MADE consisted of about one hundred students and every semester we had to take two non-MADE electives therefore i would be with regular Adlai Stevenson students unfortunately Stevenson put the MADE program on a pedestal so when taking those non-MADE electives students would be rude and have called me privileged when they found out i was in MADE. Something i would like to see change is to stop putting the program on a pedestal because Made students will get disrespected.

I would like to see more African American diversity and more celebration of Black History Month (BHM). As an African American student who is used to seeing the celebration BHM, it hurts to see a school with an 8% population of African Americans not celebrate this historic month. This month lets African American students know they are seen. Let's them know they are special.

I love Stevenson. They are very organized, involved, and helpful with college readiness and helping students get ready for life beyond high school. I have loved my years here and it is bitter-sweet to have to leave Stevenson soon. I have no doubt they will continue to be successful shaping our future adults considering the amount of time they put into helping the students that attend there.

I will give a 3. I like the school, teachers were nice, students were nice. I am doing well in all of my classes. BUT, the classrooms are cold, and so is the cafeteria. I could not even walk in a cafeteria, it is so chilly in there. I wish they changed the A/C to warm air. I will talk to my mom abou...

I'm not going to say this was the best of the five Utica schools I've attended, rather the least worst. UCS loves to brag about how great their schools are, but they only base it on academic performance. The real problem with Stevenson and its related schools is a largely ignored one - it crushes th...
