The best part of attending Stonington High School was the teachers. Every teacher I cared was very passionate about what they were teaching. They were invested in creating relationships with their students and helping them to succeed.

I can say my experience at Stonington High School is one I won't forget. I can definitely say the best thing about it was the people you got to grow up with and see how you all made a difference in each others lives. Hanging out with my friends from the Stonington Crew Team was the best part cause I had a second family with me. Not even just with the students but also the teachers. For me personally there were a lot of teachers who I knew I could count on to crack up a smile no matter the day. I can say the worst part of it is was most likely feeing like you couldn't really talk to the teachers about many because it was difficult to get too personal with most of them. But at the same time I don't blame any of them as it's their job and they have to deal with a lot. I would like to see a change in our school spirit as I feel it has been lacking as I was going through my four years. Otherwise I am very pleased with my experience at Stonington High School and will cherish my memories.

I would say Stonington itself is a pretty nice school. The sports programs and classes are fantastic, and the teachers are very helpful and friendly. However, the students are very "cliquey". It could just be because of how small the school is, but regardless, I'd say that's one of the main issues. Another problem is that there aren't any resources provided to students to help prepare for the SAT/ACT. Besides those issues though, it's not a bad place to go to school :)

My student is thriving at this high school. She is a dedicated student who stays out of trouble. She has enjoyed all the extra curricular activities and has excelled on the crew team. She has a great group of friends as well. The community is highly involved and the school encourages that but also e...

The awarding SHS of one star is due solely to the Football staff. The teaching staff are not only woefully disinterested, but I suspect they honestly do not even like teaching; the Superintendant's and Admission's offices are sadly, a comedy routine that you would not believe exist in reality anywhe...
