Highland Elementary School is a requisite stop for students who live in the central-southern part of the Stow-Munroe Falls City school district. With an enrollment of just under 300 students in kindergarten through fourth grade and a 20:1 student-teacher ratio, Highland Elementary exceeds in providing for its students. Highland is the school district’s original elementary school. It was constructed in 1939 as Stow Grade School by the Public Works Administration to help create employment and funnel more money into the economy as a response to the Great Depression. With a “B” school grade according to the most recent Ohio School Report Card, Highland ranks similarly or better to the other elementary schools within the Stow-Munroe Falls district. It earned a “D” grade in the progress component, but an “A” grade in the gap closing component, indicating that its most vulnerable students are making progress year over year. Students at Highland can take advantage of a wide range of academic and extracurricular programs, from school counseling to Title I instruction. From my perspective, Meghan Graziano is subjective with her approaches. She is inconsistent with her policies and let's emotion drive her decision making. She cares more optics, especially when complaints are made. She doesn't fully support her teachers, and she is more focused on removing a problem...

The staff (teachers and support staff) are absolutely incredible at this school. My eldest child has already passed through Highland, and my youngest is currently there. The school has high quality teachers who set the kids up for success.

Highland is a fantastic school. The teachers, principal, and supporting staff are all top notch. My children love going to Highland and are thriving there.My son is entering the gifted program next year and I am incredibly bummed that to participate he will have to transfer to a different school in...
