GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have been at Strasburg-Franklin my whole life. It is such a great school with lots of caring teachers and administrators. A great thing about it is the size. We are a small school so everyone knows everyone. As well as the community supporting the school. Although there are a few rough spots like people trying to get in your personal buisness or teachers choosing sides with students instead of telling them both. However it is a great place to learn and grow.

Some teachers are better than others. Some really pick your brain; some make the classroom fun and make it feel like you are not even in a classroom and are actually learning life lessons. (Those are the best teachers in my opinion because they keep my focus, and I am able to retain the information they are teaching me, which is better for me in the future when I actually have to act upon it.)

There were a ton of after-school options. However, most of them were sports or not taken seriously. Sports were taken the most seriously of all the after school activities and the school rallied behind most of the sports teams. Being such a small school, the majority of students participated in these activities.

I love the school. They are a small district however they continue to keep upgrading the courses and keeping up with the changes in teaching. I, my husband and our three children all received excellent educations.
