Felix A. Williams Elementary, a recipient of the Five Star School Award from the Florida Department of Education, stands firmly by its "empowerment through community" mission statement.
The school often participates in environmental protection events and other community activities.
The school's green team joined the International Coastal Clean Up Day to beautify the community's beaches. And during the school’s Family Arts night, fifth grade students and parents made ceramic bowls that were then sold for charity.
The school also hosts a modest farm that is sponsored by the PTA. Maintained by the students, the farm's harvest is then donated to the Salvation Army and the school's cafeteria.
Felix A. Williams Elementary School is adjacent to the natural space of Haney Creek Park and is encompassed by wetlands and greenery.
The school is named after Felix Angelo Williams, a Martin County teacher, school principal, veteran and community leader.

The teachers, except the new ones, are seasoned professionals and care about the whole child. You will not find better teachers in the private schools. Mrs. Soviero and Mrs. Aboujja in 5th grade are Master Teachers and the best of the best. Mrs. Robinson and Mrs. Pawlek in 1st grade are really great...

What a wonderful school. My daughter has had a year full of learning and nurturing at FAW. Looking forward to the future and all that this school has to offer.

I have three kids go through FAWE and cannot say enough about it. Great school and staff and a real family atmosphere. The teachers and administration all deserve a big raise.
