Sumter high is a place where it gets you ready for college. We have good counselors that will put you on the right track on where you need to be and to get you started. We have wonderful organizations that can help your college resume and plenty more. We also have a wonderful principal name Mrs. Sandora. She's from Russia, very open minded with her students, and mostly has her students has as much fun as they can.

Over all, I have had an amazing high school experience. The teachers and other faculty have helped me out. I hope they will continue to do the same for others. With that, I do wish they would do a little more for the kids who are struggling. Also, I hope the school will grow the career courses and programs, so more students can be college and career ready. I'm so proud of my high school.

I would like that there were six periods to include all core classes and two electives. Students will easily forget what they have learned by the next semester because they are expected to keep with what they previously learned. This is not how learning should be.

The overall education level in Sumter appears lower than many other places. Many of the teachers my children had to endure at S...

For those parents who have never lived outside of Sumter, this school may be what they think as good. Having lived in other areas around the US, I can tell you that it is very weak in many areas from my observations. On the few times I have come to visit the office, I have seen students wandering ai...
