Community School has the most beautiful campus, and the buildings and classrooms are great. Class sizes are small, with a maximum of 20 students in a class. With 3 required outdoor trips per year, there is plenty of opportunity to enjoy nature and the outdoors. However, there is a lack of diversity, not only in the school but in the town of Sun Valley. All this being said, Community School is a great school and helps to prepare every student for college or wherever they want to go after high school.

I have been a parent at Sun Valley Community School for eight years and my children have had an amazing experience there. The academics are stellar and the teachers meet each student where they are and challenge each student to be the best version of themselves. The community is supportive and inviting. The opportunities to pursue and excel at your passions are ample but so are the opportunities to put yourself out there and try something new. It's the education I wish I had experienced.

My daughter went to CS from 6-12 grade. Her teachers were amazing (she still keeps in touch with many of them) and she was admitted to every college she applied to. Her experience at CS gave her great public speaking skills, a love of the outdoors, and the ability to take care of her self in any situation. I would highly recommend the school to anyone wanting a well rounded, confident, engaged graduate.

My daughter's experience is wonderful! Very effective managing of her busy travel schedule, an ability to participate in Outdoor Education as well as some clubs and extracurricular activities and community involvement - all of those factors combined can be found at Community School.

I attended The Community School from 6-12th grade. Looking back I'm so grateful for the outdoor experience I gained from going here. I loved all of my teachers and the education I received. We DID have a lot of homework but I learned how to manage my time and organize my schedule. There was 27 kids...
