The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Surrey High School did not prepare me for college at all. I did the application processes all on my own because the counselor made it clear she did not believe in me right from the start. There were only a couple teachers that I think attributed to who I am today and actually helped me grow as a person. I think Surrey could benefit from providing more advanced classes to prepare kids for college or even life after they graduate

As the years went on the principal made it seem like we were all in prison. He would act like a dictator and treat us like we were all criminals. He also did not want to deal with any of the issue between students/faculty. He would push them off to someone else, even the cops sometimes.
