GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I had a good time in my four years of high school but there are some things that can be better. I don't really like the food we have there. Some of our teacher could be better but most of them were good teachers. Overall it has the best academics in the area.

Sweeny high school brought so much joy and learning to the environment. The teachers and staff helped me and allowed me to go to college by starting me off on the right path to success. My freshman year they started a 4 year plan and I stuck with the plan, even though I changed what I wanted to do, it all worked out in the end. My coaches in soccer helped me get to the collegiate level of athletics and play at Howard Payne university. Sweeny high school prepared me for the real world and the experiences I might face. My current GPA is 3.92 and I plan to keep it up with the year I have left of college. I thank Sweeny for the amazing learning opportunity and excitement I had.

Sweeny overall is a great school. Though, there are a few things that need assistance. The placement of where money goes needs to be more dispersed between certain curricular activities. You always hear how there's always more money going to sports than the art department, which is true in Sweeny. That's a huge issue from my four years of experience.

This school is so small! I'm related to 50% of the people there. My mother went there over 20 years ago, and ever since then, I've had 3 other Aunt and Uncles that have gone there. It has changed a lot frommy mother's perspective. The Administration is much less strict. They seem to focus more on sp...
