I wouldn't switch to experience any other school, I want to complete my last year here. Coming into Mount Tahoma as a little fourteen year old, I was scared. I was smart with joining cheer. I wasn't the best but I built my way up fast. Cheer helped me make friends and verbalize myself more, as someone who was depressed often. My class was the most chaotic, so there were fights at least every two months, until there were none at all. As I got older, I became more distant with everything. I don't talk to much people, but the staff has always included me. Some even break me out my shell. I was too young to realize, but the staff here is amazing. During the end of junior year, we sadly received the news that two of our fellow class mates had passed away. One was a star football player and one was loved by many. The staff offered help to everyone who was in school, grieving about the loss of their friends. They showed us they aren't just staff, they love us and want us to be okay.

Throughout my past 4 years of attending Mount Tahoma, I have not experienced many negatives or downsides, with the only things being small factors that are out of the school's control. I have enjoyed how supportive and understanding the teachers as well as the administration staff have been to me throughout my high school experience. I have also enjoyed the community that our school contains and the sense of family I have experienced in my sports as well as clubs.

I wish that the staff would be more communicative about college prep. I feel like I'm chasing some elusive knowledge On how to get ready for my sophomore to start applying for scholarships and schools.

-The teachers cared. Whether their class was a core education requirement or an elective, they cared as much as you did. I remember my teachers (some of them) being enthusiastic and passionate about what they were teaching and that was contagious. -The classes were not challenging. I took general cl...

If the student wants Rigor it's at Mount Tahoma. If the student doesn't want AP they can put it off until Senior year. The school offers AP and College credit classes in just about every subject. The best example is the High School PreCalculus/Calculus teacher has his program accredited from Central...
