GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have had many experiences with tavares high school since I started as a freshman almost 4 years ago. Some of the best parts of my experience coming to this school was meeting classmates and teachers who I will never forget for their profound impact on me and the improvement of my social and mental health. Some of the bad things I have experienced from this school is the rampant amount of students who break policies and rules despite our staffs best efforts along with things such as events with no diversity and our lackluster food that is provided. However despite this every staff member I have met are really friendly individuals and the teachers I have had always encouraged and taught their students to a successful extent.

The teachers have been wonderful, the counselors, not so much. Claire has loved being involved in SGA.
