GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Thackerville is a very small school in a small town. Good academics and great community. I would recommend it if you are looking for a high school who has a town supporting them in everything they do.

The staff is so friendly and I love them all. The High school is not very big, but it is just enough room for the students. The bathrooms are clean and spacious. The classrooms are always clean, but you can tell that there are some needed upgrades.

I grew up in this town and this is the only school that I've ever attended, so I don't know any other kind of school except for a small town school. There are good things and bad things about going to a small school. The good thing is that you know everyone but it's hard to have a lot of friends. The bad thing is, it's almost impossible to get noticed for a sports scholarship when you go to a small school. I've said my whole junior and senior year that I wished I would've went to a bigger school so I would have had a better chance to get noticed in baseball. My favorite experiences are being close with just a few of my friends and having those "intimate" times with them. Those would be hard to have in a large school.

Do not work here. Admin expects you to read his mind.

Most students perform on a low academic level, very few elective choices, poor leadership. March 2024.
