GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The best part of attending Thompson Falls High School was the small class size, allowing for a lot of familiarity. The classes were not academically challenging and there was a high amount of nepotism shown, mainly through faculty but also through teachers.

I think for a high school in a smaller town in Montana it is pretty okay. I like all of my teachers, and they tend to be pretty flexible with athletes. Our sports programs themselves are fairly well funded to my knowledge. Our basketball team is usually pretty good, and our track team, for boys and girls, competes with the best athletes in Class B from across the state.

I really like how close knit we are as a school. The teachers and administration care about students success in the classroom, playing sports, work, and in the real world. We have many opportunities in our small town to achieve excellence. The one thing I would change is adding more classes, one example of this is that we got rid of the music program due to Covid/other reasons, which was really sad because growing up I played multiple instruments.
