Run! Far away. This is not a gifted and talented school. They do not require testing to get in as most gifted and talented schools do. This is a special education school.

They provide a holistic approach to learning in a small class room environment. There is an opportunity for better guidance and preparation for senior students.

As one of the nine students to be in Westgate's first graduating class, the best word I could use to describe my experience is 'unique.' Westgate is a non-traditional school for non-traditional students. I myself would have had a lot harder time if I had spent my middle and high school years in a traditional school. My time was by no means perfect, but its gotten me closer towards my life goals then I think any other school would have been able to.

Westgate has been a fantastic experience for my kids. They are each treated as individuals and their unique interests and learning styles are respected and encouraged. Westgate has been a great school for our family. Our kids have made friends, and are excited about some of the projects they're working on. We're also so grateful that they have a real nurse.
