Timberwood Middle School has been serving the Humble Independent School District (Humble ISD) for nearly 25 years. Located at 18450 Timber Forest Drive, the campus sits across from the Atascocita Volunteer Fire Department. Housing 1,189 students in grades six through eight, classroom sizes average 15 students to one teacher. The home of the Panthers offers an athletic program, giving students an outlet to play football, baseball, basketball, track, cross country, volleyball, and soccer. Furthermore, Timberwood Middle is committed to preparing the youth for the workforce, offering a Career and Technology Education program (CATE). CATE classes are only offered to seventh and eighth graders who can choose from culinary arts, hospitality and tourism, applied engineering, and principles of audio/visual. Other extracurricular activities include band, choir, cheerleading, theatre, and a dance team. Student Council, Universal Interscholastic League (UIL), and National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) round out the student achievement programs. To be considered for NJHS, a student must be a seventh or eighth grader, enrolled in on-level or higher classes, attend school for a full semester, and maintain at least a B average for nine weeks. A council of teachers makes the final selection.

Best middle school ever. I completed all 3 school years here from August 2010 to May 2013. So far, I miss that school because I had a lot of good memories at TMS.

Timberwood Middle School has great academics and most of the teachers are amazing. The only thing that bothers me is the fact that sometimes situations are not handled in the right way and some kids make dumb decisions like how one kid airdropped an inappropriate picture to the principal and we coul...

The school has no lessons except in the History class where they take notes explained by the teacher. In the rest of the classes the students are given worksheets with no explanation of how to do it or the topic. In the science class the teacher doesn't even go over notes, they just tell the student...
