I have had a great 3 years at Dade County High School, and I'm excited about my last year. The student section at sports games is unmatched, and I have great friends. I would like to see more administration involvement, and to see them care more about the students.

The school is challenging in the academic aspect. The courses range from Dual enrollment all the way down to needing special assistance in certain area that a student may struggle with. Teachers are willing to work after hours to help students. Students have access to a full library and have access to a working computer or laptop that they can use. The school also has a wide variety of extracurricular activities from sports teams to an assortment of clubs.

I love the atmosphere that the school gives off. I have lived in Dade county all my life but I went to a different school and was not accepted very well there people had no respect for me or even wanted anything to do with me so then I switched schools to Dade County High School. The first time I stepped in the front doors of Dade County High School, people were shaking my hand and asking me my name and the principle asked me how I was and shook my hand with firmness. The teachers are very respectful and they will help you in any way possible. The school is on the out- skirts of a little town and everybody knows everybody and everyone has each others back.

I am writing this review mainly to correct the misinformation in the reviews above mine that are filled with idiocy. I am 1996 graduate of this school which was the 2nd year of the operation of this facility. I have a college degree and a good career in Engineering. I have one daughter that graduate...

The teachers don't keep parents informed when the student is getting behind and then calls me when its way to late for anything to be done. One of my sons teacher last year even told Jim just to go ahead and quit cause he wouldn't amount to anything anyway how sad is that to tell a child that way to...

This school is horrible. There are a very few number of teachers who actually can teach. It's old, small, and not a good environment. Teachers are teaching subjesubjects that they are not qualified to teach in. Students are being set up for failure. There are very few classes available to students....

We visited this DHS for the first time in the fall of 2013 and we are very impressed. The faculty and staff really seem to care so much about their kids, they are like a family. Our child will be transferring from a larger school in Florida and we hope she will have a more positive experience here....
