This school has many great characteristics: the faculty is very involved, many classes are spent outside in the sunshine, and students are forced out of their comfort zone. This school, however, can be overly legalistic and strict at points.

I think Trinity is a love it or hate it type of school. I just don't think it's a good fit for me, while others will have a great experience. I'm excluded a lot by my friends and I have developed a lot of anxiety and depression, which is the reason this is going to be my last year at Trinity.

Didn't have a good experience at all. Too much time spent on classes with no relevance to anything of use, such as Latin or Scripture. The culture was abysmal - racist and sexist jokes are the norm among the guys. It all flies under the admins noses. Often, classes are taught by teachers fresh out of college, with no teaching skills. There are no opportunities for club involvement. Some teachers are excellent, but its really hit or miss.

Our son is entering his senior year. We are really pleased with the quality of the teachers, curriculum, administration and students. 2009 Blue Ribbon Winner...Only private secondary school in Virginia so rated for the last 5 years. One child is in 2nd year and has dramatically improved in desire to learn and in performance. Only school I know where older students mentor the younger as a matter of course.
