Imago Dei Middle School is a tuition-free private school serving students in fifth through eighth grade. As an independent Episcopal school, Imago Dei welcomes people of all faiths and traditions, as well as those who are unaffiliated with any religion. The school relies on charitable donations, and all proceeds from Santa Theresa Tile works, Tucson tile works and art gallery, benefit the school.
With a mission to teach with love, care and respect, the teachers at Imago Dei help students grow through a range of methods, from lectures and memory drills to open discussions and group projects.
The school incorporates liturgy from the Episcopal Church into the school culture, with community worship that is inclusive in order to help students and the community discover their own sense of spirituality. As for the academic experience, students learn during 10-hour school days with enrichment opportunities through arts, guest speakers, community service, sports and field trips to Tucson attractions. Plus, the school incorporates a weekly graduate support class where students can set goals for their futures and offers academic assistance to alumni. And to give back to the community, Imago Dei stocks its own food pantry — which is open to all students, alumni and their relatives — to further foster a sense of community and support for everyone who attends Imago Dei.

I used to volunteer as a tutor at this school, they do a fantastic job of bring students up to grade level. Small classes, longer days, very dedicated teachers and staff. Free for families that qualify (based on income).
