Across the street from Menlo Park, Nosotros Academy is a tuition-free public charter school serving students in kindergarten through twelfth grade on the west side of Tucson. As a small academy, the school offers intimate classes where students can receive more one-on-one attention in addition to deeper engagement with peers and guest speakers. While students in younger grades learn mindfulness and social-emotional skills, students in older grades learn how to transfer their learning into the real world. To prepare students for the 21st century, the curriculum at Nosotros focuses on STEAM subjects with project-based learning at the core of instruction in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. Additionally, students have one-to-one access to computers, so everyone can acquire digital literacy and complement studies through online programs. In addition to lessons in the classroom, students can also apply their learning out in the field, whether flying drones using block coding or building outdoor structures. The learning environment also extends to comprehensive field trips to local historic sites, museums, farms, and natural attractions where students gain hands-on experience in the working world. Students can participate in a range of activities to stay engaged during the summer, from local excursions and bowling to welding and rock band classes. All year long, Nosotros Academy strives to keep its students focused on their futures.

The principal Is not fit to be here. Peter Felix makes students feel uncomfortable and uncared for. He has favorites. So unprofessional.

As a parent, I am happy that I know the staff and teachers here are giving my child the best education they can provide, but the administration is doing the bare minimum. I am supposed to be a junior but am a year behind. Last year I was able to catch up a whole semester. Nosotros is small enough to not have distractions and the teachers actually know who you are and care about you.
