GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The best parts of my experience were definitely how diverse the school is. On top of that, many of the students become friends of close very quickly and no one is really left out. The worst experience had to have been the policies towards the end of the year which required some students who had their 6th period off to have a slip, due to some students not being truthful and leaving early when they should not have.

Sunnyside high school has defenantly lead me to many great things experiences and people. The teachers have been amazing. Staff and students are really nice and awesome too. This school lead me to find my passion in sports, with its extraordinary sports clubs and student athletes. This school has exposed me to many options and paths for my future.

The teachers and counselors are always involved and attentive to the students. If a student needs help or have a concern on anything, the teachers are always available and are willing to talk to the students not just as an adult, but as a friend as well. The counselors make sure the students know that they're always available for help. Something I'd like to see change is maybe implementing harsher consequences or punishments when required.

Nobody does anything to earn their grades here...the whole district is a total joke.

Whelp I've been at Sunnyside for 3 years (I'm a junior on to senior) and THIS SCHOOL HAS LOST IT'S PRIDE! Instead of having fun at prep rallys and other gathered events more people decide to complain and sit on the bleachers then actually participate in anything! This year's vote for senior position...
