Overall I'd say the school it's self isn't a bad school, and 90 percent of the teachers seemed to care about teaching us. Most of my best memories come from being in the schools music program it was a nice environment to be in; but what makes the school fall out is the students. At one point there was almost a fight everyday. Someone even got shot at my last homecoming, causing the school to get metal detectors and us to have to wear clear backpacks. The food was also bad most days, but that seems to be most schools in the Tulsa school district. Overall I do think I was prepared for college by the time I left. So I guess thats what the goal was, and it was for the most part met.

What I like about my school is that the students are always excited about our school activity's we have planned such as Pep rally's, Sport games etc. The changes we need are how the teachers teach us, some teachers really don't put effort on teaching us the right curriculum for that specific class.

I attended McLain High school my seventh grade year through my senior year. I graduate from McLain in 2017. I loved my high school and I still do. McLain was my second home, I made a lot of friends, learned new things, and felt loved.

Principal Harper was the best principal. She was involved with the students and loved her job! She always was available and talked to the students. I wished she never left McLain. The school was in bad shaped before she came. She cleaned up the school and made sure that the students were safe!
