Located on the south side of Stevenson neighborhood at 7502 E. 57 Street, Memorial Middle School teaches students from sixth through eighth grade across south Tulsa.
Because the school emphasizes the benefits of technology in learning, teachers here are committed to providing personalized educational opportunities through the use of research and technology. To create an inclusive environment, Memorial Middle School students sport school spirit wear as their school uniform, in the school’s blue, red, white and gray color scheme.
In addition to core curriculum, six career technology courses are offered here, where students integrate math, science and engineering and solve challenging problems to learn to how to experiment, invent and innovate. Other electives offered in the curriculum include art, band, speech, health and a Library Assistant internship. An after-school robotics team expands on these concepts and members of the club have even built drones and underwater robots.
Memorial Middle School offers several more extracurricular activities and programs for students with varying interests including student council, yoga, Girl Power, National Junior Honor Society and debate team, as well as the school’s art, book, chorus, anime and chess clubs.
Students who are athletically inclined can participate in basketball, cheer, football, soccer, track and field, wrestling and volleyball.
