GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

There are only a few clubs for students and none of them are art or hobby-based.

We received a PEP grant that allowed us to remodel many of our athletic related facilities. Teachers and administrators always encourage their students to have school spirit. We always had pep assemblies during homeroom for every big game.

The food service was from a company outside of the school. Their food was supposed to be "healthy" but instead it was the same thing but in smaller portions. They did provide a salad bar on a daily basis which was a nice and healthy option for students. Peanut allergies became prevalent in our school so they banned peanut butter from the lunch room.

The principal here is the worst out of everything, multiple students have been getting harassed by other students and they won’t do anything about it. Instead of helping with a student having mental breakdown he told her to have a good day and gave her a thumbs up. You have to have status here just...

My son graduated from Turtle Lake and it was a great experience for him. The high academic standards helped him do well in college and in now in physicians assistant school. Academics and extra curricular are well mixed and helped my son succeed.

Turtle Lake School is full of positive students and staff. I am very proud to be a teacher in this district and a part of this community. The small size of our district allows us as teachers to keep a close eye on each one of our students. By doing this the students get the necessary help and attent...
