Serving all of Twinsburg City Schools’ second- and third-grade students, Samuel Bissell Elementary School is home to over 550 students who live in the city of Twinsburg. Bissell, which first opened to students in 1964, was named after early Twinsburg educational pioneer Rev. Samuel Bissell. He helped open one of the first schools in Twinsburg and built many of the city’s historic structures.
The school offers students a wide range of academic programs and extracurriculars, including art, music, physical education, reading, math, technology, student council, and more. Special education and speech therapy are also available to students, who all receive free transportation and Chromebooks provided by the district.
Like other public schools in Twinsburg, Bissell ranks high according to the most recently available Ohio State Report Card, earning a B grade overall. It also earned the National Blue Ribbon School designation by the U.S. Department of Education in 2016.

Bissell elem. has aa very caring staff.When you enter the building you can feel the warmness! They are also very serious about the students education. Each child is treated as an individual. The children there are wonderful as well :)
