I'm a parent at Gorman. I like the strong community with the high standards of a Christian atmosphere. The teachers are great, and the spiritual aspects bring it to the level one needs in today's world for raising our children.

Bishop T. K. Gorman offers a unique experience. We are a small school, so the sense of community is really strong. The teachers care a lot about the students and the families of students are often present at school events. There are a lot of opportunities for students to strengthen their faith. Our cross country team won state this year and the coaches of all sports are passionate about their jobs.

I had a terrible experience at Gorman. Was bullied the whole year I was there, and the administration did not about it. People may say the kids are including and sweet at Gorman, but really are just mean and unkind. If Gorman had a better way of handling things, then there wouldn't be so many families leaving Gorman because of the bullying issues. This school should definitely have more discussions with their students, because they truly do not know how to be kind to one another.

The grade level teachers meet once a month to make sure all students are succeeding both academically and socially. The principal is amazing! I have lived in Tyler for 15 years and I doubt you will ever find another school with more " family" feel.

This school is run by a principal who cares about each child in his school. Mr. Franz is like no other school principal I have ever worked with. He goes the extra mile to mingle with students and get to know them and will tell you that a student meeting is much more important than any business or sc...
