Some of my best times in my High school years, would have to be from being in band, whether it is Marching or Concert. It may be difficult sometimes, but the trips and the goals are worth it, I've made some good friends along the way and I am glad that I am apart of it.

I've had a wonderful four years going to Tyler High. It started a little rough, since I wasn't originally from the area, but as the years progressed, I found a home, friends, and more family. I became a cheerleader and worked part-time so these things helped mold me. My shyness, my leadership abilities and just the all-around person I am today. I wouldn't change a thing about my high school years, experiences or life lessons that I was taught.

Tyler High School has the characteristics of a high school, but doesnt exactly excel at high school activities. My experience was overall not well, but staff made it better otherwise. I would like to see the administration change, Claude Lane is not a good fit for Tyler High.

This is a school in crisis. It will require a much larger security presence to change anything.

JT has made some tremendous academic gains these past two years. We truly appreciate the direction that Dr. Kenneth Gay is moving the school forward and bringing academic pride back to JT!!!

I have been so impressed the the change at John Tyler that has been implemented by Dr. Gay, the administrative staff, and teachers. John Tyler is moving in a positive direction and you can tell the students are excited and enjoying the school. The focus has finally moved from discipline to instructi...
