Home of the Unicorns, Olympia Elementary School was established in 1980. Located on the far northeast side of San Antonio at 8439 Athenian Drive, the school serves children of armed forces members stationed at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph Air Force base and residents of the Universal City suburb. Olympia Elementary School serves pre-K through fifth grade. Recent student enrollment was about 400, and class sizes tend to be smaller than the state average. To promote wellness and learning, a free breakfast program was started in 2019. The school offers classes for students who require special education and promotes early literacy programs to help children become strong readers. The school also has a bevy of extracurricular activities, including art, yoga, gardening, STEM coding and Legos clubs, and UIL Music Memory and spelling competitions. Teachers and administrators work to cultivate a learning environment that sets students up for both success in and out of the classroom. The school emphasizes respect, responsibility and restorative practices to help students become leaders.

My son has been going to Olympia since Pre-K. I absolutely love this school. The teachers are amazing and Mrs. Brewer the school nurse is the best. Everyone is always friendly and courteous.

Olympia Elementary is an amazing school that I HIGHLY recommend!! I had both my kids attend from Pre-K through 3rd grade. We had to move out of state, and it was REALLY sad and hard to leave. My daughter first year in this school. She was discriminated upon the first day. Teachers and staff at this school favor kids of white background If you are a multi race do not send your child here they WILL be treated different.

my school is Olympia, teachers that care, my granddaughter had some problems and they took the time to work with her and give advice on the way she could focus and improve , specially I want to thank miss Saunders she is a teacher that cares.
