GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My experience at Valders High School was an ok experience. There are always stereotypical bullies who are true for every high school. The teachers are great and supportive, which is always appreciated. The food I never had because I always had a packed lunch but I heard from kids that it was good. The sports are excellent our cross-country team has gone to state for the past 6 years. Overall this is why my experience was ok in high school.

I like that Valders High School is a small school that has lots of family and town involvement, since it is centered around the small town of Valders. One thing I might change about the school though is the fact that we do not have weighted GPA'a. Schools around the area have weighted GPA'a and through the switch students would be more prepared for college in the future. What

If I were to put it in one word, I'd say it was - interesting. Throughout high school, I was the only Mexican girl out of the five in our ENTIRE school. It's a small school in the middle of nowhere in a small town. Anytime there was drama, new kid, cops, it was a big deal. Nothing much ever happened there. I could say high school could've been better, but that be a lie. I left there happy, even though school got canceled due to COVID-19. If there were something to be changed, it would be the walls. Yeah, there are some cute colors here and there, but they're so many white walls that I feel like it's a nonstop walk.
