GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

When I first started high school at Draughn, I wasn't excited and didn't want to have to focus on doing good in school, but the teachers are willing to do just about anything to help you if you're willing to ask. They have a good amount of clubs to get into for the opportunity to volunteer and meet new people.

My experience at Jimmy C. Draughn was the best four years of my high school years! I absolutely loved the environment at the school. It was small enough so everyone knew everyone. All the teachers made their students feel welcomed. The principals were the best too! Help every student out in any way they could!

I think that Draughn high school is a good school overall, but some of the teachers there could be a little more friendly. Draughn high school doesn't tolerate bullying. they're are high schools in the same general area as Draughn that have a bunch of fights that break out but Draughn is not one of them. I'm so glad I got to go to Draughn instead of the other schools.

Students who graduate from DHS are proud to be a part of something special. Of all the schools in Burke County this o...

Very small, no money into school. Very cheap, very political, sports suck. Teachers are in for money not kids. Tons of drugs, lot of issues.
