GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Wheeler High School is one of the best high schools in our area academically. As someone who went to a different and much bigger school in the past, Wheeler was a big positive change for me. Although there are a few teachers with extremely questionable behaviors, the majority are truly amazing.

The staff has always been excellent in ways of both teaching and helping you out if you need it. The staff is also easy to talk to. I've been in several sports at this school and the coaches have all been great. They offer dual credit classes here and give you an optional if internships and vocational as well during your junior and senior years, which is a great opportunity for students to figure what they want to do and get some experience.

Best part- good teachers, worst is the food, it is almost inedible and lockers are small. Classes are too long

Very student focused. Great relationship between school and community when parents take account of their child's education.
