GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I've had an overall good experience at LCHS. It's a nice school with many good teachers. I wish there were more extra curricula options. There are very few clubs and they only offer a few main sports. If you don't play sports or aren't in the band there is nothing else for you to do.

Lamar County High School gave me lots of great experiences and was filled with teachers and administrators that I knew supported me

Lamar County High School is one for the books. Sports are amazing. The teachers do not care what the kids do and there is no actual "teaching" happening.
