My worst experience is that the administration, although encourages students to speak out about issues they have, has ignored many of the issues that me and my friends have had when it comes to our queer identities. The best part is probably some of the teachers as I do think the majority of teachers there are of high quality.

I love the environment of the school and the communities that you can join at VHHS. However, I think the school lacks in school spirit but mainly due to the lack of participation as the staff work hard to make spirit days happen.

Vernon Hills High School has overall been a good school. There are resources that have helped me excel academically and stay ready for further education. There are some downsides in administration and staff but overall it is a great environment

Equity should not be a category in this review. This is a good school that 7 years ago was a great school. Sadly, equity and all the social emotional focus has infested this school. Vernon Hills High is one of the best secondary schools in Illinois when it comes to providing students with several electives and subjects to allow students to pursue any dream or hobby they want.
